Job Description:

The Walgreens Health Services Accounting Department is building a Controls and Process Group. This group is dedicated to the assessment of internal controls within the business units of Walgreens Health Initiatives. The Group Manager will be responsible for managing the control reviews for all business units and will also be responsible for communicating findings and recommendations to operational and executive management, as well as helping to develop plans to implement the recommended control changes.



Essential Skills:

Documentation of Accounting Controls, Procedures, and Policies; Point person for all Sarbanes Oxley 404 processes for WHS and PBM (includes working with process owners on documentation / certifications); Review and implement internal and external audit recommendations for the WHS and PBM businesses; Ensure timely compliance of SAS 70 requirements for the PBM; Periodically visit Business Unit Operational sites to observe proper procedures are being followed; Provide consulting / training on controls and procedures; Participate in system development projects to ensure accounting and internal control related points are designed into systems at the front end; Financial Reporting Package Evaluation.



Qualifications:

B.S Accounting; CPA Preferred; Must have experience in operational and financial audit; Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley standards; Leadership ability.
