Hedge Fund Accountant

Our client, an investment firm in Chicago, is seeking a Hedge Fund Accountant reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer.  Key responsibilities include:

 
Preparing journal entries and financial statements

? Reconciliation of investment positions and payments

? Working with outside accountants

? Verify and approve payments due from counterparties

? Analyze P&L on a macro and micro level

? Assist in month-end close process

? Special projects, as assigned

 

Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor?s degree in accounting from a top university and have one to three years of accounting experience. Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of the organization. Must have expertise in Excel as well as be sharp and be able to problem solve quickly.
