Smart and Associates has an incredible opportunity for an ambitious and career-driven IT Audit Senior. Candidate will also take part in supervising, developing and mentoring staff. There will be a definite track to Manager and Partner level if candidate desires and can effectively demonstrate strong client service and development skills. The successful candidate will possess strong IT audit skills within industry or public accounting, the ability to consistently provide accurate work and strong communication/organization skills.

•BS/BA in, MIS, Computer Science, Finance/Accounting Business Management or other relevant field required

•Professional Certification (CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIA or comparable certification) preferred

•3 to 5 years IT Audit experience which includes 2 plus year of strong technical skills. •Advanced organizational and technical skills

•Strong interpersonal communication skills

•The ability to write reports and effectively present information to all levels of management

•Sarbanes Oxley 404 knowledge and experience preferred

•Working knowledge of CobiT framework preferred

•Background and understanding of the risks and controls in one or more of the following: operating systems, (NT, 2000, XP, Linux, OS390 or Unix) security applications (RACF, ACF2 or Top Secret), Networks, Firewalls, ERP Systems (PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials or JDE), DB2 or Oracle databases, change and configuration management, .

•Experience with various audit, utility or scanning tools either licensed or public domain is a plus. •Functional/operations auditing experience is a plus

•Property / Casualty Insurance experience desired

•Traditional Sarbanes experience desired.

Job Requirements:


•Work closely and collaboratively with our clients, providing the full range of IT audit services

•Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of IT controls and the efficiency of corresponding operations

•Take a risk-based, integrated audit approach to IT audit services in order to help clients mitigate risk, improve performance and operating efficiency

•Work on multiple projects both technology and business process driven

•Provide process improvements and help change the client’s initiatives

•Data extraction and analysis projects including fraud analysis

•Execute IT audits in a team environment (integrated approach)

•IT Audit work will be in accordance with the General Standards for Information Systems Auditing published by ISACA

•Applications control and audit requirements development

•Performs system application reviews in various computing environments (i.e. mainframe, client/server, internet/intranet)

•Participates in system development audits and works with customers on pre-implementation system issues and projects

•Perform disaster recovery and security audits in various computing environments (i.e. mainframe, mini-computer, client/server, and internet/intranet)

•Perform operating system audits in various computing environments (i.e. mainframe, mini-computer, client/server, and internet/intranet)

•Identify internal control structures and strategies through forms of investigation and consultation

•Ability to recognize personal strengths and weaknesses and seek out opportunities for personal development

•Ability to lead others to develop and improve performance

•Travel 25 to 30%
