IT/SOX Auditor

Global Telcommunications company is seeking IT/SOX Auditors for a large scale Sarbanes Oxley project. Responsible for execution of audit processes, including risk assessment, definition of audit scope and objectives, project plan, detailed control evaluation, test activities, issue resolution, and report activities for assigned audits or objectives depending on the specific assignment. Assumes accountability for specific segments of audits or projects and as in-charge of defined audit projects, has responsibility for supervising and coaching assigned staff. Collects, analyzes, interprets and verifies information to determine whether IT and business controls are adequate and effective as well as recommends effective controls at a reasonable cost. Communicates audit results to operating and middle management. Documents the audit procedures used through preparation of detailed work papers. Performs follow-up of recommendations made from assigned audits to ensure timely implementation by management. Provides assistance for external audits as needed. Qualifications :
We are looking for an Information Technology (IT) Audit professional who is familiar with system and business controls in order to provide high quality audit evaluations and recommendations and to be responsive to the risks and consulting needs of the Telecom businesses. A Senior IT Auditor effectively assesses application and technical controls along with impacts to the business processes, performing audits in the following areas: general controls, technical areas, applications, and system development projects, including use of Computer Aided Audit Techniques (CAATs) to streamline processes and analyze problems. This individual takes the initiative to share expertise with audit team, proactively building IT business relationships and knowledge of supporting technologies to provide timely, effective, risk-focused audit services. The best candidate will have 2+ years of IT auditing, along with related business or IT experience. A Bachelor Degree is required. A solid working knowledge of basic aspects of computer mainframe, midrange, and distributed/client-server platforms and related technologies is required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are necessary. The candidate must be able to work independently with a high level of initiative in a multi-tasking environment. Professional Designations/Advanced Degrees are preferred (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CIA, CPA, MBA).
