Income Tax Supervisor

Job Purpose:

Implements tax strategies by reviewing and approving federal, state, local, and foreign tax plans, returns, payments, and positions; researching tax strategies; supervising staff.



Job Description:Responsible for review of federal, state and local income and franchise tax returns.  Assist with the preparation of income tax provisions and forecasts.  Coordinate federal and state tax audits, including gathering of information.  Respond to income tax inquiries and assessments.  Research complex tax issues, monitor federal and state tax developments, and determine the impact of these developments.  Participate in various tax projects.  Assist with training of tax staff.

 

Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Master degree preferred.  CPA required7 to 10 years of corporate tax experience with Big 4 mix.  Prior supervisory experience required. Must be highly motivated, support and maintain a team attitude, and be able and willing to train tax staff.  Must also be capable of working independently, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and think analytically and creatively.
