Insurance Senior Tax Analyst

Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of the insurance components of the CORPTax federal and state Income tax software.? This position presents a unique opportunity for candidates who have an interest in taxation insurance, and software development.? The position provides the ability to combine Insurance tax expertise with a desire to develop and design a market leading software.
- Research tax law and creates supporting detail for the tax technical design of assigned software?
- Participates in the development and update of calc-specific help files when appropriate.
- Tests calculations for errors in the logic, both as a part of the QA process, and the annual update process.
- Prepares documentary support for research findings and processes used during research efforts.? Meets with the logic person to review the issues and changes together
- Builds calculations and creates supporting detail for the tax technical design of the assigned software
product

- Develops proficiency with the computer tools used by the department and CORPTAX, LLC.??
- Demonstrates the ability to learn and use new tools.
- Provides progress and status on delivery dates, and strives for timely completion and adherence to the project plan.

Education: Undergraduate / Graduate degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Information Systems
Certification: CPA preferred
Experience:
- 3+ year's industry or public accounting experience specializing in corporate income tax compliance
- Strong written and oral communication skills Insurance, tax preparation, and/or CORPTax software experience a plus
- Work environment includes utilizing personal computers and related software applications, with frequent use of keyboard and mouse.?
- Utilizes general office equipment. Frequently sits while performing duties

- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment. ?
