Intermediate Level Internal Auditor

Our new state-of-the art plant and corporate offices in San Marcos, TX is off to a great start and we continue to experience rapid sales growth.  Our new San Marcos facility, the Genlyte Group San Marcos Operations,  has an immediate opening for an experienced Intermediate Level Internal Auditor. The Genlyte Group San Marcos Operations services both the Gardco and Wide-Lite Lighting Divisions, the industry leaders in the design and manufacture of HID and Outdoor Lighting Fixtures and Controls with long histories of success.  Both divisions are proud members of the Genlyte Group family and enjoy strong national and international reputations for their superior products and services.

 

The Intermediate Level Internal Auditor audits the accounting and finacial data of various departments within an organization to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.  Identifies improper accounting or documention and researches issues and makes recommendations to improve policies or procedures accordingly. May work with outside auditors to help reconcile discrepancies or support the external auditing funtion.  Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.  Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.  Performs a variety of tasks.  Work under general supervison; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
