Internal Auditor

As an Internal Audit Staff member at Micron, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and execution of financial, operational, compliance, or informational technology internal audit projects, in which you will assess risks and controls related to key processes and procedures within the company. You will be expected to objectively identify key issues and develop recommended solutions. In this position, you will be expected to perform project assigned tasks designed to identify, evaluate and report on key operational and financial processes, as well as evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes. You will also perform tests of key controls as required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 legislation. This position also requires you to assess risks associated with assigned projects and develop audit programs designed to evaluate the company’s ability to efficiently and effectively mitigate risks. You will also accurately document, in written format, work performed in developing conclusions associated with assigned tasks.  This position also requires you to adhere to the Institute of Internal Auditors Code of Ethics requirements for maintaining integrity, objectivity, confidentiality, and competence in the performance of project tasks. In this position, you will be expected to communicate effectively with individuals of different professional backgrounds and management styles, as well as perform other department related tasks as assigned. You will also be have an annual travel commitment of up to 35 to 50 percent, depending on the role you fill and the region in which you will be located.

Successful candidates for this position will:


Possess professional certification, such as CISA, CPA, CA or equivalent, or CIA (preferred).

Have the ability to identify issues and recommend improvements and/or cost-cutting measures.

Have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including written and verbal communication skills.

Be fluent in written and spoken English.

Have experience in SAP (preferred).

Have proficiency with Microsoft Office XP, SAP R/3, and ACL, or similar data extraction and analysis tool (preferred).
Education:
BA or BS degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, is required.
