INTERNAL AUDITOR

 

ZIEGLER, a 104-year-old full-service brokerage and investment-banking boutique, is seeking an Internal Auditor to assist our compliance Department. The position is responsible for monitoring internal controls and conducting internal audits through policy writing, monitoring internal controls, and assembling risk models.

 

Other duties include:

? Performing internal audits of basic financial reporting areas and operational areas presenting specific risks identified by the auditor.

? Responsible for creating reports on audit procedures (results and conclusions), discussing the results and conclusions drawn from the audit procedures with the affected business unit leader, and communicate internal audit results to department heads, CFO, CEO, and Director of Compliance in a timely manner.

? Providing limited assistance to accounting department with external audits to detect inaccuracies or failure to adhere to applicable accounting standards in the Company?s financial statements and reports

? Serve on disclosures controls committee, to review Company disclosures made externally

? Serve on inventory committee, monitoring net capital risk and deal flow

 

Our ideal candidate must have strong financial accounting, technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to make recommendations and prepare written reports.

A bachelor?s degree at a minimum with an emphasis on accounting, finance, or auditing is preferred.
