Under supervision, assist management in the effective discharge of their responsibilities by furnishing analysis, appraisals, recommendations, and information concerning the activities reviewed. The objective includes promoting effective control at a reasonable cost, and to provide evaluation of effectiveness and efficiency of operations. Assist in planning, developing and executing agency audits within the framework of the agency's internal audit plan. Provides consultation services to management and user groups with regard to financial, compliance, operation efficiency and program effectiveness controls. Communicates control weaknesses and recommendations for correction to management. Provides these services in a positive and timely manner to agency personnel. This position also calls for the ability to keep information in confidence, with a high level of personal reliability and integrity.
