Internal Auditor II

We are currently searching for energetic Internal Auditors to join our team.  Our home base is in Hollywood, Florida and we audit at six casinos located throughout Florida.  Successful candidates will be able to connect with people in a friendly, outgoing manner using persuasive communication skills to gain an understanding of the controls in place.  The selected candidates will be required to actively solicit management?s feedback while applying professional skepticism and positively asserting the organization?s philosophy of a strong internal control environment.

 

Internal Auditors report to the Director of the Office of Internal Audit, and their duties are as follows:

? Coordinates and performs professional internal auditing work for casino and resort operations of primarily routine but sometimes complex nature.

? Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts and draws conclusions.

? Develops written audit work programs that describe the testing and audit evidence required to meet the audit objectives.

? Develops and maintains productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.

? Maintains composure while meeting multiple deadlines.

? Performs research and special projects as needed.

? Conducts interviews, reviews documents, develops and administers surveys, composes summary memos and prepares working papers.

? Performs tests and analyses, gathers audit evidence, evaluates results and develops conclusions about the adequacy of internal controls.

? Develops a detailed understanding of the activity under audit, including risks and controls.

? Verifies compliance with policies, plans, standards, and regulations.

? Identifies, develops, and documents audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment

? Communicates the results of audits in verbal and written formats.

? Pursues professional development opportunities

 

Job Qualifications:

Minimum:

? Ability to interact and work well with people

? Excellent speaking, presentation, and written communication skills

? Skill in negotiating issues and resolving problems

? Ability to complete multiple projects in a timely manner

? Ability to work well independently or in teams.

? Strong analytical skills

? Fundamental knowledge of GAAP

? Computer skills ? Microsoft products

 

Preferred:

? CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, MS or MBA desired

? Exposure to regulatory compliance environments

? Previous experience with automated work papers including AutoAudit

? Knowledge of casino gaming, hotel, food and beverage, retail, lease, governmental or contract compliance

 

Other Requirements

65% instate travel, travel expenses are reimbursed

Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time

Must be able to carry at least 15 pounds of equipment
