Internal Auditor (Sarbanes-Oxley Specialist)

A market leading medical device manufacturer has an immediate opening in Lake Forest for an experienced Internal Auditor.



This person will conduct assigned audit engagements under the direction of the Manager, Corporate Compliance, which will include an evaluation of the internal control environment, and an assessment of compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations. Perform audits in accordance with the internal control test plan and prepare audit reports with appropriate recommendations. This Internal Auditor will report to the Manager, Corporate Compliance.



Specific responsibilities include:

Performing and completing financial and operational audits.

Testing compliance to the annual SOX compliance plan .

Writing audit reports for making recommendations for remediation.

Interfacing with the Senior Management and External Auditors on all

corporate compliance issues.

Testing/monitoring/writing plans for remediation and communicating results.

Monitor the control environment and manage and conduct audits to evaluate

 compliance with established financial and operating policies.

Managing and improving the ongoing change management process.

Coordinate IT and Finance compliance programs.



Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in accounting, finance or other related field and a

  minimum of 4 years accounting experience including at least two years of

  public accounting.CPA required and CIA or CISA certifications preferred.Extensive understanding of SOX Section 404 compliance requirements and

  hands on experience in SOX 404 compliance.Experience in Internal Audit of a public company.Experience in the design and audit of internal controls.Strong working knowledge of financial applications. Expandable experience is a plus.Candidate will be required to interpret policies and identify control

  points.
