This newly formed department will be responsible for the independent appraisal of the procedures, policies and standards by which the companies (maurices and dressbarn) financial, physical and information resources are managed.  The primary mission of this new department will be to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act as well as support traditional internal audit functions. 

 

The Internal Audit associates will be responsible for planning and performing routine audits as well as participating with teams performing audits of departments, financial statements, regulatory reports and operational controls and procedures assuring use of acceptable audit standards.  In addition, the Sr. Internal Auditor will be responsible for leading the audit team and supervising the work of others.

 

The successful candidates will have demonstrated skill and experience in Public Accounting and/or corporate internal auditing.  Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization are a must in addition to being resourceful and organized while demonstrating exceptional judgment and discretion.  A 4-year degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business or related field and professional certification are required.  To be considered for the Sr. Internal Auditor position, the candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in this field and in a manager capacity.
