International Tax Accountant

We are searching for a talented and innovative International Tax Accountant to play a key role in our tax department in our Cambridge, MA office. The tax department currently consists of four individuals and is part of the Finance department. The tax department is responsible for a multitude of areas which includes not only tax responsibilities such as Domestic & International Tax Planning and Compliance, but also Investor Services and Support, Merger & Acquisition Support, and Risk Management. Responsibilities Tax provisions: Analysis and computation of foreign jurisdiction income taxes through communication with and assistance from local office controllers. Transfer pricing: Maintenance and updating of inter-company transaction agreements. Analysis of inter-company financial data, research of external financial databases and preparation of Transfer Pricing Studies in compliance with foreign jurisdiction statutory requirements. Develop tactics to manage transfer pricing with goal of reducing foreign exposures, reliance on external consultants and providing advice on global transfer pricing issues. Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on international tax trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations. Tax planning: Develop and implement tactics to reduce Monitor's effective foreign tax rate and improve cash flow. Assist foreign offices during tax audits and inquiries as they relate to international tax issues. Support other members of the tax team on various projects and matters outside of the international tax realm. Guide other members of the tax team so that they may assist and develop understanding of international tax issues, particularly those including transfer pricing matters. Contribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of the methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery; keeping team members informed of work status; proactively seeking opportunities to provide tax services; challenging traditional procedures used in the past; and attempting to find new approaches.
