International Tax Accountant / Consultant

Jacobsen & Company is a boutique tax and accounting firm, located in Stamford CT.  We provide tax and consulting services to domestic companies and international companies doing business in the United States.  While our main focus is on tax and structural issues, we provide a full range of services that address both U.S. business matters and cross-border issues.

 

Located close to New York City, our firm is a great place to work, offering a dynamic team atmosphere, room for professional growth, membership in a health club (and time to use it), and excellent compensation.  We are looking for someone who wants to grow into the responsibility of running the tax compliance practice and enjoys being challenged by complex tax issues.

 

We are seeking an experienced tax professional who wants to interact with clients, continue to develop their skills, and is looking to do more than simply crunch numbers.  We have a rapidly expanding tax compliance and consulting practice, with a concentration in international taxes, and are looking for someone who is eager to work at the leading edge of the international tax field, and though experience is necessary, ability and drive are paramount.


This position?s principle duties will include: Preparation of corporate, partnership and individual tax returns. Substantial client contact
Researching, analyzing and documenting tax issues Providing tax consulting services tailored to the client?s needs Oversight of the firm?s outsourcing of individual returns
Continued technical growth Reporting directly to the partners of the firmREQUIREMENTSCPA with 4-5 years of experience in public accounting Strong tax research and analysis skills Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills Knowledge of standard accounting packages a plus (Peachtree, QuickBooks, etc.)
