Description

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) is in the process of relocating a substantial portion of its business to Durham, NC.  Join us in our new facility as an Inventory Accountant, and help us grow. This position is responsible for (1) the steward function in safeguarding AICPA assets, (2) maintaining accurate reporting of inventory, (3) Managing team goals and objectives based on inventory process documentation, and (4) facilitating the business at the AICPA by delivering inventory and manufacturing support services.

ResponsibilitiesManufacturing control of finished goods received into Oracle Financials and shipping to customers on a timely basis; Run and process daily Re-Order Point report; Monitor and maintain Oracle interfaces on a daily basis; Create and maintain the item master/standing order relationships; Process customer returns; Maintain deferred authorship costs (update unit cost of finished goods products); Perform certain functions for the month end close including journal entries and reconciliations; Assist with the cycle counts and physical inventories at the warehouse; Report and maintain monthly print shop paper physical inventory; Communicate with operations in maintaining the monthly obsolescence report; Assist with the release of standing orders; Report and review daily staging inventory; Review and code invoices for payment; Work with internal and external auditors to complete the ISO, general audit, and year-end audits; Report and manage stored AICPA assets at a vendor location; Continuously look for ways to improve workflow, efficiency, and streamline processes and controls.

Requirements2-5 years of related accounting experience; Bachelor?s degree in accounting a plus; Knowledge of Excel and Word; Knowledge of Oracle Inventory, G/L, and work in process applications a plus; Strong initiative and drive to work in a dynamic and changing environment; Ability to travel in initial months to New Jersey to allow for cross-training; Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, accuracy, initiative, attention to detail, and analytical problem solving.
