Investment Operations Analyst-Compliance

A company in Baltimore is seeking an Operations Analyst to develop and administer systems and procedures necessary to ensure the timely and accurate payment of corporate debts, payroll, and obligations. Duties: When a compliance issue arises, either from an internal or external source, and a process improvement is needed, lead a cross-functional problem/process resolution team. Provide appropriate leadership for the problem/process resolution team including timely and honest communication, conflict resolution, and realistic goal-setting. The cross-functional team will identify the problem and the scope of the problem, develop proposed solutions, implement the solution and monitor for success. This includes researching, identifying and understanding all of the inputs and outputs related to the process and identifying the root cause of the problem. These projects have a broad impact as they impact key internal and external customers and are highly visible. A project may last anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months and the incumbent is expected to work on 3-4 projects at one time. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to the problem/process improvement team through constant communication and updates regarding open issues and projects. Work with each stakeholder to understand the methodology behind the process and to gain buy-in for the improvement. Maintain working knowledge of current Investment Compliance workflow and procedures. Proactively identify improvement opportunities internal and ancillary to the Investment Compliance team, as well as propose and implement solutions. Identify key resources and stakeholders in order to develop practical solutions. Work with stakeholders in order to document new processes and communicate and train impacted staff on new procedures to ensure a smooth transition.

Candidates should have experience/skills with the responsibilities listed for this position. Any relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus.
