Provide to Director of Corporate Planning and Senior Management the appropriate financial analysis to assist in corporate strategic decision making, recommend options involving corporate financial transactions, and prepare analysis on the Company or competitors? financial performance.
This outstanding position offers the opportunity to travel internationally and as the candidate?s career spirals upward - to live overseas and gain exposure to different international working environments. Knowledge of a second language is not mandatory but constitutes a competitive advantage.
DUTIES:
1. Assess various business opportunities (investment, assets divestitures/purchases, opportunity
costs), using various valuation methods, in order to give recommendations and rank options.
2. Evaluate competitors? financial and market positions, review and compare stock performances.
3. Estimate potential savings generated by potential changes in the corporate organization (i.e.,
relating to new processes, tools and/or geographical / business reorganizations).
4. Assist and participate in any discussions or meetings involving the elaboration of corporate
strategy and business opportunities. Remain alert to any potential opportunities that would be
beneficial to the Company.
5. Benefit from a strategic position within Corporate Planning to: 1) gain expertise in Marketing
and Finance related matters (Marketing, Tax, Treasury, Accounting); 2) interact with other
Departments and Regions/Business Units; 3) gain exposure to Senior Management; and 4)
assimilate and develop a strong corporate culture and network.
6. Gain exposure to drilling operations through training, field projects and rig visits in order to
develop a comprehensive technical background for a future field operational assignment.REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION:
Required educational background includes Bachelor degree or equivalent from a Top Tier university in Engineering, Accounting or Finance coupled with a recent MBA.
