JD Edwards with Accounting Mgt Exp & Cognos

We are hiring a Cognos Report writer with JD Edwards accounting experience as a consultant for our North Suburban Chicago client. Responsibilities: Managing all accounting IT systems for the organization including: o JD Edwards Enterprise One o Cognos Planning o Gelco travel reporting o ADP payroll . The incumbent is responsible for report creation, data mining, training, and ad hoc requests for JD Edwards and Cognos systems. . Participating in monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close process, extracting key data needs, building reports with team members for analytical purposes and supporting ad hoc needs to facilitate the accuracy of the close process · Establishing and streamlining the companies’ internal control structure related to the IT systems. Redesign the processes including monthly close, data integrity, system balancing, chart of accounts consistencyAll applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Qualifications :
Only candidates meeting these requirements will be considered: Strong understanding of JD Edwards Enterprise One, particularly as it relates to end user support. Two or more years experience in JDE developments tools and workbench, report writing an query tools, and core processing logic Cognos experience highly desirable Strong capability with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) Five to ten years relevant work experience progressively increasing level of responsibility of accounting systems positions Preferred work experience in consumer package goods industry Experience managing and improving transaction and reporting systems Strong understanding of accounting principles and methods Bachelors Degree required, Master Degree preferred.
