The Lead Trust and Estate Accountant:

 Prepare accountings for trusts, estates, conservatorships and guardianships in various state formats.

 Handle multiple assignments, reviewing materials received including analysis of Will or Trust Agreement and to focus on potential problem areas and/or additional materials required and advise client.

 Review initial draft for accuracy of input and note what additional information may be needed as well as what problem areas may exist.

 Advise client of status of account and request information to complete account.

 Upon receipt of final information, complete the accounting; prepare trustee or executor commission calculation and any other facts, computations and/or information.

 Prepare weekly/monthly account status reports.

 Prepare billing information for assigned completed accounts or possible on account payments.  Monitor cost of each assignment.

 Train Trust and Estate Accountants.  Review accountings prepared by accountants for completion and accuracy so they can be finalized and sent to client.

 

 

Qualifications:

 Ideal candidate will possess a college degree in accounting or business administration.

 Six or more years of related experience required.

 Heavy experience in preparing accountings for trusts, estates, conservatorships and guardianships in various state formats is required.  Must be familiar with estate and fiduciary income tax returns in addition to strong technical expertise in fiduciary accounting matters.

 Position requires strong communication skills and proficiency in computer applications.

 Communicate with clients and establish relationships with same that will lead to new business from them and instill confidence in their using our services.
