Loan Operations Specialist-Small Business Banking

Serves as the liaison between Credit, Sales and Customers with respect to commercial lease documentation, closing, booking and servicing. Accountable for managing collateral risk to the bank by obtaining, analyzing, researching, reviewing, and evaluating all necessary collateral information and reports required to meet the terms and conditions of the credit approval. Reviews credit packages for adherence to credit policy by verifying purpose, lending authority, collateral requirements, etc. Analyzes credit packages to determine appropriate research necessary to ensure proper collateral position. Verifies LTV, reviews UCC searches, appropriate entity documentation, and additional documentation as appropriate. Responsible for coordinating and facilitating all lease transactions in individual portfolio. Responsible for filing and monitoring UCCs, working with Vendors and Dealers to obtain valid invoices and Vehicle Titles, working with FAA counsel, STB Counsel, Coast Guard and internal counsel for filing perfection for Aircraft, Railcar and Vessel leases, and working with Insurance Agents to obtain proof of insurance. Prepares necessary lease documentation required to perfect the bank's interest in the collateral. Serves as liaison with Legal Department and outside counsel as necessary. Responsible for fulfilling all post-closing customer service requests made by Relationship Managers, Business Bankers, Leasing Sales Representatives and Customers. This position is eligible for the employee referral bonus.

 



Candidates must have at least 2 years of loan documentation and loan servicing experience.  The ideal candidate would have Leasing Operations experience in the Commercial sector with an understanding of Public Sector financing. Experience analyzing credit packages to determine appropriate research necessary to ensure proper collateral position, verifying LTV, reviewing UCC searches, appropriate entity documentation, and additional documentation as appropriate, coordinating and facilitating lease transactions, filing and monitoring UCCs, and working with Vendors is preferred. This candidate must have good Math skills as well as both verbal and written communications skills. Experience using Word, Excel and documentation preparation software is required. The position requires that the candidate has the ability to both multi-task and to work in a Team environment. Desire experienced individual able to act independently in carrying out requirements of the leasing post-approval process in a high volume environment.
