We have a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled, business-oriented Manager - SOX  404 Compliance with exceptional analytical and technical capabilities.  As a key member of the Director?s team, the selected candidate will manage projects related to the Company?s Section 404 Compliance Process and will monitor other sections of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and the NASDAQ Listing Standards.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

? Develop, implement, monitor and manage the Company?s Section 404 Compliance Process including scope review, process documentation and the identification, testing, evaluation and effectiveness of key controls

? Follow up on the implementation of management action plans to address any identified control gaps

? Coordinate work performed by the Company?s Business Unit 404 Project Directors

? Provide updates for the Company?s Section 404 Steering Committee on the status of the Compliance Process and any identified issues

? Develop and participate in 404 Compliance Training Programs, as needed

? Assist the Director in monitoring compliance with other sections of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and the NASDAQ Listing Standards

? Assist the Director with communicating 404 status, developments, methodologies and other 404 matters with/to the Company?s external auditor

? Work on special projects concerning significant corporate issues as directed

? Develop long term productive relationships within the Company to add value to the Company and for personal professional development

? Use technology to continually learn and share knowledge with team members and Company management and enhance service value

? Understand and stay abreast of general business/economic and industry developments and their impact on the Company

? Stay abreast of new accounting/auditing pronouncements and standards to gain an understanding of their links and impact on the Company?s 404 Compliance Process

 

 

Requirements include:

 

? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or related Business discipline required; (MBA or advanced degree preferred)

? CPA required

? CIA, a plus

? 5+ years solid accounting experience, with 3 years in public accounting and/or internal audit

? 2  years experience in a management role with staff supervision responsibility

? Experience with and strong understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, Section 404, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting and Rules (SEC and PCAOB) and NASDAQ Listing Standards 

? Experience in identifying risks associated with processes (risk assessment), identifying internal controls within a process and performing gap analysis

? Strong understanding of financial reporting

? Strong project management experience and/or experience managing audits and/or an audit plan highly preferred

? Strong understanding of financial reporting

? Ability to lead team members that either report directly or indirectly to this position

? Exceptional technical skills and analytical capabilities

? Proven skills in problem solving and decision making

? Excellent interpersonal, organizational, leadership and mentoring skills

? Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)

? Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite); knowledge of VISIO, preferred
