Manager, Audit - Financial Serivces

KPMG LLP provides audit, tax and advisory services to a broad range of clients. We are currently seeking an Audit Manager to join us in our Chicago office.

KPMG?s Audit practice uses a methodology that transforms the audit process from a traditional compliance-driven function to a risk-based approach by creating a framework for auditors to assess how a client's business risks affect financial statements. This approach offers a more comprehensive view of how a client's unique risk environment affects its financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

?Manage the execution of external audit engagements for both large and small financial service clients
?Supervise audit engagements of diversified accounts, including Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants
?Review SEC filings
?Research technical accounting issues
?Manage client accounts including billing, fee analysis and new service development
?Assist with the career development of team members
?Identify performance improvement opportunities for assigned clients
?Work with other Managers to help ensure the proper deployment of the Audit staff
?Understand and utilize KPMG?s Audit Methodology



Qualifications:
?Five years of current and/or recent audit public accounting experience
?BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
?Licensed CPA
?Demonstrated supervisory experience
?Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures
?Able to meet challenging client requirements and provide exceptional service
?Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills
?Willing and able to travel
