We are seeking a financial professional to join our Vienna, VA office as a Manager of Business Risk. This is a multifaceted position that features a lot of responsibility, ownership of many projects, the ability to drive corporate change, and the opportunity for further career growth within our Fortune 100 Company. One of the major tasks of this position will be overseeing our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and reporting program.


 


Key responsibilities include:



Working with outside consulting firms to run SOX testing, fixing problem areas, reengineering old controls and reporting to the SEC


Educating the outside consultants about the tests’ relationships with AmeriChoice-specific issues


Traveling on 1-2 day trips up to 30% of the time, visiting facilities in 13 states to execute SOX testing


Running continual reports, and implementing controls for business continuity, including disaster and recovery efforts

Facilitating internal audits



This position requires a strong accounting background and experience working with SOX regulations. Computer proficiency is also necessary. We prefer past experience in the health insurance industry and/or work as a consultant, especially on SOX cases. A background in consolidated finance is a plus. A Bachelor's degree is required, and an MBA is preferred.
