Manager, External Reporting

The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a/an Manager External Financial Reporting for our Technical Accounting Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.



Essential Job Functions:
Manage the preparation and review of 10K?s, 10Q?s, proxy, annual reports and registration statements; Assist in the coordination of quarterly disclosure and certification committee meetings; Manage the preparation of Time Warner?s quarterly trending schedules; Participate in the review and coordination of press releases; Perform special projects as requested by the company?s senior financial management team; Manage Financial Reporting staff - Responsible for the overall management, coordination and evaluation of the team, including the hiring, supervision, training and mentoring of staff.



Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Minimum 2 years public accounting experience; Possess a combination of public and private experience; 5 - 8 years total GAAP experience/SEC reporting experience; Strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to communicate ideas effectively and concisely to all levels of management, internal and external auditors and outside contacts; Strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to clearly communicate accounting issues to non-accounting individuals; Capable of assuming a leadership role in attaining department goals; Positive attitude dedicated towards achieving results for the ?team,? as well as providing quality service and accuracy; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision under stressful conditions and coordinate the completion of multiple tasks simultaneously; Strong organizational and analytical skills; CPA and/or MBA preferred
