Manager of Financial Planning Systems ? Hyperion

 

This individual will provide strategic direction for the Company?s financial planning and analysis systems.  This individual will also implement enhancements to meet on-going user requirements and manage the day-to-day global operations of Hyperion Planning as part of the Corporate FP&A Group.

 
Serve in the lead role on the team building and implementing Hyperion Planning.  Upon completion of phase 1 of the implementation, assume the role of global Hyperion Planning Administrator;
Work closely with Hyperion and other consultants to ensure system requirements are met and system knowledge is retained after implementation;
Provide support to the global virtual team of financial planning system users;
Make recommendations and develop business requirements to expand the use of the application as the primary financial planning and analysis tool;
Work with global financial planning teams to understand and improve current processes;
Create and maintain dimension hierarchies;
Define, develop and manage user acceptance testing for all enhancements;
Perform routine system maintenance;
Work with the Financial Planning IT administrator to implement new processes and troubleshoot technical difficulties on existing processes;
Establish and maintain systems and controls to verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data;
Define and document calc-scripts and business rules;
Update and maintain existing reports and create new reports utilizing Hyperion reporting tools;
Assume responsibility for on-going system security and access management;
Train new users as well as developing ongoing skill enhancement training to experienced users;
Write and maintain all required documentation for all procedures

 

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting - CPA or MBA preferred;
7-10 years of financial systems experience in a large global public company environment including 5+ years financial planning systems experience;
Demonstrated ability to lead a successful large-scale software implementation;
Prior experience as an administrator for Hyperion Planning;
Expert knowledge of Hyperion Planning and Essbase;
Experience working in an enterprise data warehouse environment;
Strong academic and practical knowledge of financial planning and analysis;
Experience in building & maintaining financial models for use in the financial planning process;
Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and drive system and process changes;
Working knowledge of GAAP;
Excellent analytical skills;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to develop productive relationships with business unit financial planning teams and peer groups within Corporate Finance;
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to complete assignments given aggressive time constraints;
High level of proficiency in all productivity tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint);
Flexible, team oriented approach to issues;
Hyperion technical certifications desired

 

Salary:  $90,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience)
