Manager Financial Planning & Analysis

Dynamic, growing, industry-leader is seeking a highly motivated, solution-minded Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. Reporting to the CFO, the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for driving the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and re-forecasting those based on actual versus planned results. Additionally, this position is responsible for a range of financial operational analysis that provides decision support to revenue enhancement, expense management and cash flow as well as systems development, usage and evaluation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

?  Manage aspects of the financial planning and analysis function. Planning ? preparation of the operating budgeting and forecast

?  Manage the financial forecast updates

?  Maintaining a close understanding of business risks and opportunities

?  Oversees and executes the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and monthly estimates

?  Assists in the preparation of monthly financial operations/budget reviews

?  Coordinate and manage the development and modeling efforts associated with the company?s rolling strategic plan

?  Work with management to establish sales and profitability targets

?  Manage budgeting process, consolidate results and assist in the determination of the proper external targets

?  Customize and manage financial modeling

Analysis ? financial analysis of performance (against history, budget, forecast, M&A, or other initiatives)

?  Performs comprehensive operational financial analysis to provide management with recommendation for expense reduction, revenue enhancement and improved cash flow

?  Develop financial summaries, analysis of business unit results

?  Analyzes sales and margins by customer and product, capital expenditures, along with monthly tracking of expenses verses the budget

?  Track key financial metrics, performance versus departmental budgets, monitoring of capital spending and trend analysis

?  Perform complex financial analyses: what-if, IRR, buy verses build, company valuation, long range planning and NPVReporting ? generation of consistent and clear management and board reports

?  Manage company-wide management reporting

?  Prepare financial presentations

?  Develop presentation to the board of directors

?  Create and generate monthly executive reporting packages and annual budget documentationSpecial Projects ? assistance in evaluating various special projects

?  Provides ad-hoc financial analysis for marketing/business development proposals

?  Lead and participate in business process improvement efforts

Critical Success Factors:

?  Technical Skills: Bachelor Degree in Finance (MBA with concentration in Finance or Accounting strongly preferred). 3+ years of progressively increasing financial management experience with 3+ years in budgeting, financial planning and analysis and financial modeling.

?  Systems Management:  Expert in Excel and other MS office applications. Ability to quickly learn internal processes and software applications/systems including evaluation and implementation of ERP. Proficient in the use of advanced features in spreadsheet software applications. Must be able to prepare regular and special financial statements including (but not limited to) balance sheets, budgets, forecasts, profit and loss statements, and statements of sources and uses of funds. Database report writing skills including ability to identify appropriate database to ensure accurate reporting, querying, and report writing a plus.

?  Communication Skills: Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing; translates technical decisions/strategies into business terms and implications; produces clear, understandable documentation geared for all audiences. Ability to foster relationships with senior leaders in the company.

?  Management of Resources: Allocates time and resources efficiently, focusing on ever-shifting priorities; continually seeks ways to improve individual/team efficiency. Demonstrates ability to be effective within a matrix environment. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and take ownership of projects; performing job requirements with minimal oversight and attention to detail.
