We currently have an exciting opportunity with our Corporate Tax team.  This team, part of our Treasury group, is looking for a Manager, Financial Tax Reporting.  In this role, you would be responsible for:

 Compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements related to the reported worldwide effective tax rate (ETR) and income tax liabilities for O-I and its subsidiaries; Maintaining a high level of understanding of the latest financial pronouncements and communicate that knowledge throughout the Company.  The P&L Tax responsibilities currently average 36% to 40% of the worldwide net income or approximately $150 million and balance sheet accounts of approximately $500 million Preparation of the world-wide tax provision and financial statement disclosures - including a) first review of US tax provision and US deferred tax reconciliations b) tax oversight of the IPM project (legal entity information in HFM) and c) teaming with other department personnel in the recommendation of tax provision software; Cash tax forecasting and reporting; Working closely with Controller?s Group and Treasury to a) identify unusual and discrete accounting adjustments and b) reconcile EBIT and interest on a legal entity basis; and Working with O-I personnel to identify and resolve issues and problems as they are identified.

 

Successful candidates will have a variety of skills, experiences and competencies including:

 BS in Accounting; CPA; 5-8 years of hands-on corporate tax experience; A working knowledge of FAS 109, FIN 48, PCAOB standards and  related financial disclosure requirements; Exposure to international accounting standards and the ability to analyze international records; and Above average analytical and problem solving capabilities.
