Position Summary:
This position is responsible for managing a multi-state, international payroll operation for the Intelsat group of companies. This position is also responsible for the accounting of compensation related expenses including salaries & wages, taxes, equity based compensation, severance costs etc. Accuracy, customer service and continuous process improvement are baseline expectations for this position.
Responsibilities include:
1. Manage payroll operations to ensure successful completion of all payroll cycles for Intelsat employees in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Ensure that all payroll related journal entries are prepared and recorded..
3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end accruals and other adjustments to properly record payroll expense and liability activity.
4. Manage and control all foreign payroll cycles and off-site location payroll activity.
5. Prepare monthly account reconciliation?s for all payroll related asset, liability and expense accounts.
6. Ensures accurate and timely filing of state and federal payroll taxes and related tax return filings.
7. Monitor federal and state law updates and facilitate payroll process changes as mandated.
8. Liaise with Human Resources, Information Systems, Accounting Operations and various external payroll providers including ADP, to ensure complete workflow. Position further ensures proper accounting for general ledger transactions, records and required adjustments and prepares various balance sheets and cash bank reconciliations


Minimum Requirements:
Highly motivated, ability to work in a collaborative manner, effective communication and interpersonal skills and effective planning and organizational skills. Additionally, proven ability with payroll of similar scale, demonstrated ability of personal computer use with proficiency in excel and experience with an outsourced payroll provider.
