Manager, Risk Management

Major Responsibilities: Develops and administers the Company?s Risk Management program reporting to the Sr. Director
Identify and evaluate risk that may adversely affect the Company
Administer captive insurance company including reviewing entity accounting, pooling and reinsurance arrangements, actuarial analysis
Develop systems and processes to appropriately report and insure all international exposures and comply with local insurance and safety requirements
Prepare Risk Management budgets and allocations of cost of risk to Divisions and Corporate
Develop insurance specifications and insurance applications for applicable lines of insurance. 
Participate and assist in renewal negotiations with brokers, underwriters and other service providers. 
Work with supervisor to maintain on-going relations with insurance broker and underwriters.
Ensure accuracy and compliance of insurance policies with specifications.
Develop contractual insurance standards for leases and other contracts. 
Review third part contracts for analysis of exposures and recommends appropriate contractual terms to limit exposure to Company. 
Select, train and direct activities of risk management technical staff, monitors performance and perform performance appraisals.
Supervises activities of brokers and insurance and ensures compliance and standards.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS with a concentration in Finance, Economics or Business or equivalent experience plus special training in technical aspects of risk management, insurance, claims.
ARM or CPCU designation a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive risk management & insurance experience including claims management and international risk management issues.
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
Good working knowledge of laws, rules and regulations pertaining to global insurance, workers? compensation, business law, property insurance, third party liability and Risk Management standards.
Requires understanding of accounting and accrual concepts.
Ability to sell new ideas clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communications.
Excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to move effectively within and across many organizational boundaries
Able to present to senior management, business partners and external service providers
Power user in Excel and proficient in Word & Powerpoint.
Some experience with Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) a plus.
