RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manager of Sales Planning and development is charged with providing the Disneyland Resort Sales team with on-going strategic direction and planning support, identifying industry trends through consumer and trade research, attending industry discussion forums, evaluating new technology applications and emerging channels, and engaging in long-term distribution and scenario planning.

The Manager's responsibilities span all DLR segments (Local, Domestic, and International) and relevant / targeted markets (Hispanic, Youth, Sports, etc.). The Manager will provide strategic support for all Sales organizations: Pre-Arrival Sales, Ticket Programs, Group and Convention, and the DLR Travel Sales Center. The Manager is held accountable for providing strategic input for the Five Year Plan, Annual Operating Plan, and business reviews. The Manager's success is measured through his/her ability to increase pre-arrival sales, increase channel profitability, and ensure resources are focused against top priorities.

This position will have two Senior Planner direct reports.




REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS Business and/or Marketing/Sales.
5-7 years experience.
Demonstrated experience in developing and developing complex business plans.
Demonstrated strong partnering, leadership, and communications skills.
Ability to analyze and draw marketing implications from consumer research, financial, and other data sources.
Strong Business writing/presentations.
Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
Ability to champion ideas and influence people at all levels.
Ability to project manage successfully, meeting timelines and staying within budget parameters.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA
