Manager State & Local Tax

Summary:



This highly visible position will provide State and Local tax support for our complex, multi-national organization and report to the Senior Director, Domestic Tax. The position requires frequent interaction with employees throughout the organization including the treasury, accounting, finance and legal departments as well as with outside tax advisors. The ability to multi-task and work on a wide variety of projects is the key to the success of this position.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of State & Local tax audits and respond to notices
Prepare State & Local income and franchise tax returns
Manage outsourcing engagement for Sales & Use and Property tax compliance and maintain Sales & Use tax matrix
Assist in resolution of day to day State & Local tax issues - including research, planning, and responding to internal inquiries
Responsible for State & Local provision process, including cash tax forecasting and maintaining SOX requirements
Participate in various Federal tax projects as required

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:

elor's Degree in Accounting or Business
6 years experience in State, Local, and general Federal tax planning and compliance
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Literate in Microsoft Word and tax preparation software applications
Proactive, attentive to detail, strong sense of ownership, ability to prioritize and to work autonomously

Desired Qualifications:

Master of Science in Taxation and/or CPA
Mix of public and private experience
Familiarity with Hyperion and Lawson systems
