JOB PURPOSE:

This position has key responsibility for the oversight of the Company?s Sarbanes Oxley compliance.  The role includes managing outsourced consultants thru the quarterly compliance process, communicating plans and results internally to peer as well as CFO and management of external audit process. This position will learn about the entire business and will be in a unique position to identify areas of improvement.

 ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

? Oversight of outsourcing consultants who are managing the Sarbanes Oxley function.  This will include assistance in scope development, engagement planning, coordination of internal process owners and communication with external auditors.  Management of consulting engagement budget and timeline is also key to this role.

 

? Review of results of Sarbanes testing and identifying areas for improvement.

 



? Communicating recommendations internally to process owners as well as CFO.

 

?  Following up on internal control issues that arise during quarterly Disclosure Committee meetings with all vice presidents.  These meetings are part of the quarterly CEO and CFO financial statement certification process.

 KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

? Bachelor of Science preferable in Accounting or Finance.

? At least four/five years plus experience with a progressive track record in Accounting (2 years minimum as a Senior Accountant.)

? Strong understanding of GAAP.

? Experience in internal controls documentation and testing important.

? Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements a plus.

? Public accounting experience/CPA preferred.
