A rapidly growing pharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures, and sells both branded and generic forms of ethical products for the treatment of a wide range of illnesses is looking for a Manager of Internal Audit. This is a newly created position and will be responsible for hiring an internal auditor.

Job Description:

This position will assist the Director of Internal Audit in the development and execution of the annual audit plan. You will be accountable for planning and performing financial and operational audits, as well as producing written reports and recommendations on findings. The position will perform the detail review of the work performed by the Internal Audit Staff or co-source resources including the resulting audit reports. Other responsibilities will include ensuring effective audit practices are in place, identifying factors causing deficient internal control conditions and recommending courses of action, managing internal audit projects, and assisting in preparation for audit committees and Senior Management meetings.


Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting as well as CPA or CIA certifications. This position requires 5-7 years of experience (Minimum of 2 years in public accounting and 2-3 years in a private industry) and 2 or more years of supervisory experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint required and knowledge of SAP is a plus. Overall knowledge of internal control environment and the ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple tasks is also essential. This position is based out of St. Louis but will require 30% domestic and potentially occasional international travel.
