Manager of International Tax

MANAGER OF INTERNATIONAL TAX

 

Faegre & Benson, LLP, a growing Minneapolis law firm, has a challenging opening for a Manager of International Tax.  This position will manage the following functions for our international offices: tax and accounting compliance, intercompany analysis and financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and financial process and systems infrastructure.  Specific job responsibilities include:

 

A. Develop and implement the processes necessary for international tax reporting compliance, and evaluate tax structures to minimize partners? overall tax liabilities.



B. Manage relationships with accounting firms that provide tax compliance and reporting services and coordinate required financial audit work for reporting.



C. Manage processes for tax compliance and reporting to ensure that all deadlines are met.



D. Analyze tax and financial issues and prepare recommendations for policies and procedures. 

E.  Maintain and communicate international tax and accounting policies and procedures.



F.  Act as primary liaison with international offices for tax and accounting issues.

G.Develop and implement the strategies and the supporting processes to manage inter-company transaction processing for revenue and expenses in order to comply with local tax reporting requirements and to accurately reflect financial performance.



H.  Develop periodic and ad-hoc financial reporting and results analysis.



I.  Participate in budgeting and forecasting for international offices.



J.  Assist in various other duties and projects as assigned

 

Our ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree in Accounting/Finance and at least 5 years experience in tax and/or international accounting.  Qualified candidates must possess the ability to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets; ability for attention to detail; be able to work with multiple priorities and deadlines; and have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, along with a team-oriented, flexible work style.  This is a great opportunity for a self-starter to make a difference in shaping the Firm?s international accounting.  Minimal travel is required for this position.  Faegre & Benson LLP offers a professional work environment, competitive wages and an excellent benefits package.
