A dynamic organization is in need of an accounting professional to join their fast paced tax department. This individual will be responsible for tax preparation. The candidates must also possess strong general accounting, financial statement preparation, auditing, tax preparation and tax law knowledge.  They will be asked to prepare and review tax returns, some of which can be very complex. The candidate will be asked to assume full responsibility for small tax engagements and demonstrate the attributes of an effective and competent leader.  The successful candidate will use their expertise in accounting and taxation to provide outstanding consulting and compliance services for our customers.

Responsibilities:Preparation of tax and accounting work papers Suggest and apply technical tax principles Develop constructive or strategic tax suggestions Reviewing and preparing complex individual, corporate, and other various returns Compliance with due dates Managing small tax engagements, with limited supervision Resolve most tax questions readily from gained knowledge or by research Be able to develop, complete and review most normal tax planning situations Set appointments with clients, interview clients, assemble information Prepare or arrange for preparation of federal, state and local tax returns Ability to work directly with IRS agents Be involved in planning tax season strategy Developing policies pertaining to tax practice Resolve all problems before submission Train and supervise staff assistants

Requirements:

 Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field CPA preferred Strong technical skills Minimum of 3 - 4 years of tax experience Excellent supervisory, analytical and leadership ability Strong written and verbal communication skills
