Manager or Heavy Senior Tax Professional

Not-so-typical local CPA firm in downtown Denver is seeking a MANAGER or SENIOR level tax professional.  If you possess the skills to work at a national or regional firm, but want the flexibility and familial feel of a local practice this position is for you.

 

We specialize in serving corporate executives and high-net worth individual clients with year-round tax, financial and estate planning and compliance.  With an average net worth in excess of $5 million, our individual clients have challenging issues and genuinely see the value in the services we provide.  We also serve a number of trusts, closely-held S Corporations, partnerships and LLC?s so your experience will be diverse and engaging.

 

As a firm we embrace technology to make us more productive and efficient.  We are moving to a paperless office.  All of this opens the door to flex-work arrangements.

 

We are a small, close-knit but rapidly growing firm.  Potential for a future equity interest exists for the right candidate.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

v  Desire to shine in a challenging environment that truly appreciates it (AND SHOWS IT)

v  BS or BA in accounting

v  CPA or CPA candidate

v  4 to 7 years of relevant experience (audit counts too!)

v  Masters of Taxation or Accounting a plus but not required

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

v  Prepare complex federal and state income tax returns for a variety of entities

v  Prepare gift and estate tax returns

v  Review federal and state tax returns prepared by staff accountants

v  Supervise and develop staff accountants

v  Interact with clients to deliver on existing services and to identify additional needs and planning opportunities

v  Perform research and recommend tax planning strategies based on existing laws and as new laws are introduced

v  Assist with continuous improvement of internal processes, procedures, tools, etc.
