Manufacturing Accountant/Data Coordinator

There is an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Accountant/Data Coordinator within our Operations Group in our Catalysts, Adsorbents, and Specialties business at our Mobile facility.  This position plays a key and integral role in UOP's production accounting process and works closely with Finance personnel as well as Operations personnel at the plant.  The incumbent is the primary source of manufacturing quantitative data and financial information used in development of actual product cost for the Mobile site.  The position encompasses all levels of data collection and reporting, utilizing several different software systems including SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, as well as internally developed IT solutions.



 

Accountabilities of this position include:

? Creating and updating product cost estimates in SAP;

? Creating financial reports under direction from Site Finance;

? Creating journal entries;

? Assisting in monthly accounting closing activities;

? Reconciling reserve or accrual accounts as assigned;

? Running cost analysis summaries for process orders;

? Performing cost center actual versus budget analyses;

? Assisting in development of annual site budgets;

? Assisting Technical Advisors and Process Engineers with SAP/PIMS problem resolution;

? Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies;

? Developing spreadsheets containing process and quality data for production runs.

 

Work Environment :

The Office is located in a plant facility, and the incumbent may be required at times to go out in the plant environment wearing proper personal protective safety equipment.

 

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

 

Basic Qualifications:

? Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance;

? A minimum of one year experience in accounting field;

 

Additional Qualifications:

? Working knowledge of SAP

? Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite tools.
