Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

??Confers with supervisors of other departments to coordinate flow of materials or products.

?

??Responsible for monitoring for the scheduling of incoming production material to ensure adequate inventory levels, and for analyze cycle count adjustments to ensure accurate inventory accountability and make recommendations to the Materials Manager.

??Review weekly release data to include Demand Management, MRP and RPS.

?

??Monitors suppliers and commercial carriers to ensure that deliveries scheduled are consistently met and any error rectified on a timely manner.

?

??Writes procedures as directed for Receiving, Material Flow, etc. Responsible for training as required.

?

??Responsible for updating and maintaining of computer data to ensure database integrity.

?

??Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by Materials Manager.

?

??Arranges for and follows-up on special picks-ups and deliveries.

?

??Assists various other departments such as Accounting, Receiving and Shipping in resolution of discrepancies.

Education and Experience Required:

?

BS in Supply Chain Management preferred. (4) year college or university degree, in a related field; or a combination of education & work experience.? One - two years related experience in a Materials department role; preferably within an automotive, JIT, environment.

The Materials Analyst is responsible for participating in the development and maintenance of the policies and procedures applicable to the material operations of the plant in the areas of monitoring and reporting of receipts, productions, scrap and other inventory-related data. This position has the authority to carry out the basic functions and responsibilities described and supported by the facility's organizational chart.

Education Required:

Four Year College or university program certificate; or two to four years of related experience


Experience Required:
