Mutual Funds - Accountant

A downtown Boston financial company is seeking a Mutual Fund Accountant. Duties will include preparing mutual fund financial statements in accordance with SEC and GAAP requirements, preparing semi-annual and annual reports, performing detailed overviews of fund statements, identifying any issues that Fund Accounting should be aware of (i.e. negative balances, noncompliance with fund zero), ensuring accuracy and reasonability of numbers with respect to prior period reports, and preparing and reviewing regulatory filings including EDGAR and NSAR. This position reports to the Senior Specialist/Supervisor, on a regular basis regarding the status of financial statement preparation. Other duties include assembling reporting binders ensuring that they are neat, complete and all balances and disclosures in the financial statements are properly supported and signed-off on.
