Position: Office Manager/Accountant/Controller

LPK International, Inc. is a small family owned business located in Northbrook, IL that imports containers of casual and occasional furniture from Asia directly to the largest mass merchandisers in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

 

The office manager is responsible for personally processing all administrative and accounting transactions pertaining to Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and updating a cash flow forecast on a daily basis.  The office manager also provides support to the Sales Department pertaining to costing of products, and manages a part time hourly employee responsible for filling parts orders.  On a monthly basis the office manager will work closely with an outside public accounting firm to prepare accurate and timely financial statements.

 

Qualifications:

? Bachelors or associate degree in accounting with demonstrated training and experience in accounting and business.

? Good aptitude for figure management and detail work.

? Strong reading and comprehension skills to ensure that the company complies with all requirements detailed in their customer?s vendor manuals. 

? Excellent organizational skills

? Ability to meet strict deadlines

? Ability to work well unsupervised

? Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.

? Experience with integrated accounting systems.  Knowledge of Syspro a plus.

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

? Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills

? Experience with an importer, freight forwarder, or retail industry a plus

? Experience with Letters of Credit a plus
