POSITION FUNCTION:

 

Responsible for all phases of revenue accounting from conducting period closing, analyzing revenue statements, balancing subsidiary ledgers to general ledger accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBIILITIES:

 Coordinate and conduct period, quarter, and year end closings.Assist in the completion of the year-end financial audit.Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations, including balancing subsidiary ledgers to G/L.Daily cash reconciliations.Overseeing and reviewing the calculations and inputting of the weekly flash.Review and analyze revenue.Oversee billing process.Assist staff accountants in daily, weekly, and monthly procedures.Providing support and guidance to the accounting clerks.Other tasks and duties as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 A college degree in accounting is required, a CPA is preferred.At least 5 years accounting and/or revenue accounting experience, prior media or publishing industry experience is preferred, but not required.

 Accurate, detail-oriented and conscientious.Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to scrutinize complex accounting problems in detail.Flexibility and ability to perform as a team member.Motivated self-starter, with the willingness to assist others and take initiative.Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.Superior communication and negotiation skills (verbal and written).Strong PC knowledge and skills and working knowledge of Excel.
