Operations/ Cost Analyst

  Our client has a full time opportunity within their company. This client is in the machining industry and i seeking a candidate that has been in a similar industry with up to 5-10 yr exp.

 

As previous analyst within a manufacturing setting the candidate would have the proven ability to accurately estimate the costs associated with making products, estimate the costs associated with redesign of an existing product or the development of a new product or production process.

 

The analyst will work with engineers, purchasing, customer service and the CEO first reviewing contracts, blueprints or conceptual drawings to determine the machining operations, tools, gauges and materials that would be required for the job. The analyst will initiate inquires for price information from current and potential suppliers and study the pricing tends on each item to determine if current the rate is cost effective. The analyst will also determine optimal inventory scenario's to keep overhead down.

 

strong computer skills including inventory/ purchasing software as well as excel required. A cost accounting background preferred.
