Oracle Federal Financials Sr. Consultant

Job Description: BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest business consulting and systems integration firms dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations.

Financial systems and business processes support in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment, more specifically Department of the Navy (DoN). Primary responsibilities include reconciliation of general ledger accounts to its respective subsidiary ledgers in an Oracle Federal Financials environment. This will also include the review and analysis of the existing business transactions within the Oracle system. Responsibilities will also include documentation of work performed (e.g. flowcharts, procedures, etc.) as well as proposed solutions and corrective actions required for any material findings.

Internal candidate should be local or willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. Metro area.

Required Skills:
· Strong understanding of the Oracle Federal Financials application. Modules of interest: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Purchasing (PO), Accounts Receivable (AR), Project Accounting (PA)
· Familiarity with Oracle Discoverer
· Familiarity with Standard Query Language (SQL)
· Ability to interface with the client on a day-to-day basis.
· Ability to complete specific tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints
· Demonstrated ability to provide financial guidance and direction for specific sub-tasks of a project
· Strong analytical skills
· Proficiency in MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Ability to manage day-to-day activities and review work products for completeness and adherence to client requirements
· Ability to work individually and as part of a larger team
· Ability to deliver presentations and lead client meetings
· Strong writing skills

Desired Skills:
· DOD/DON financial management-related services
· Previous consulting experience
· Accounting experience: previous experience in posting accounting entries, performing resolution & reconciliations of subsidiary ledgers to general ledger, performing inventory functions, performing audit assessments, resolution of problem disbursements
