PLANT ACCOUNTANT

We are searching for a talented, hands-on Plant Accountant with strengths in General Ledger, fixed assets, and month end closing.  This position offers a 100-hour-month schedule with flexible hours,  challenges and opportunities for growth. You will be expected to assist the Plant Controller in managing the day to day accounting and cost functions of a high speed packaging manufacturing facility. This dynamic individual should possess a sense of urgency ? a willingness to learn and has strong communications skills. We are willing to train and develop the right individual! Ideal QualificationsBachelor?s Degree in Accounting, or General Business with a concentration in AccountingMinimum 3 years of experience with increasing responsibilities in accountingPrior Industry experience preferably includes manufacturing, and will be ideally prefaced by experience in a public accounting firm is desiredMust work with a sense of urgency, be extremely detail oriented, and have the ability to prioritize, plan, and organize multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent and timely communication skillsWorks well under pressure, and perpetuate a positive, team-oriented, continuous improvement environment to ensure the team?s successProficient with Microsoft Office Products

Expected CapabilitiesPosting all G/L transactions Assist Plant Controller in closing the books on a timely basis, and in preparing the necessary corporate and plant reporting items on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis Assist Plant Controller in accumulating information related to the plants monthly operational performance Responsibilities include managing/verifying standard costs
