PREMIER NYC BASED HEDGE FUND/PRIVATE EQUITY FUND SEEKS SR ACCOUNTANT/ASST CONTROLLER

Rapidly Growing multi billion dollar NYC hedge fund seeking an assistant controller/senior accountant reporting directly to the Controller.  Responsibilities include:

-Overall accounting and reporting responsibility for assigned multi-strategy funds
-Preparation of financial statement and work paper packages, tax estimates, partner reporting, performance calculation, management fees, etc.
-Daily operational duties include prime broker cash and position reconciliations, fund accounting database maintenance, margin analysis, portfolio transaction updating, liaison with prime broker and offshore administrator, etc.
-Year end audit working paper preparation for independent outside accountants
-Preparation of complete tax package for accounting firm review
-Handling report requests from and provide analysis to portfolio managers and research analysts
-Providing support and review to other departments such as marketing, trading and research teams
