PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTANT

Job Responsibilities:

As a member of the US Pharmaceuticals Group, Worldwide Headquarters Medicines
Group, GSS, Convatec, Tech Ops, PRI General Accounting Team, review the
financialrecords and accounts of the company to ensure compliance with GAAP,
statutory regulations and BMS accounting policies and procedures. Accomplish
this review bymeans of reconciliation and review of various balance sheet
accounts. In addition, review all FSS balance sheet reconciliations for
compliance with departmental objectives as to completeness, frequency and
accuracy of said reconciliations. Prepare and coordinate semi annual Balance
Sheet Reviews with those business units serviced by NAFSS. Follow up on open
items and sustain an on going dialoguewith the parties involved. This position
requires extensive interaction with other FSSC and business unit financial
personnel through the initiation of contactwith clients and follow up on
various accounting and SAP related issues. Assistin reviewing International
Intercompany Reconciliations prepared by Outsourcingprovider. Responsible for
monthly Investment in Affiliate analysis for the domestic Pharmaceutical
business. In addition to the above, assist in coordinating the NAFSS GA
Training process for various business units. Also serve as leader on other
adhoc assignments and projects.

Job Requirements/Education:

Bachelor degree in accounting, CPA preferred. 4 to 6 years experience in the
Accounting Field, a portion of which, 1 to 3 years, is required in General
Accounting in a medium to large size corporation and a portion, 2 to 4 years,
is preferred in public accounting or internal audit with a medium to large size
firm.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
