Chicago Loop-based private equity investment firm seeks a seasonal, part-time tax professional to assist with the preparation of various partnership, corporate, and personal income tax returns. 

 

The successful candidate will work during the January-April tax busy season with an initial training period in October or November.  A minimum three-day per week work schedule is required during the busy season. 

 

Reporting to the Director of Tax, the Tax Accountant will assist with the preparation of numerous partnership, corporate, foundation, personal, and gift tax returns.  Estimated tax payment calculations will also be performed.Both federal and state return preparation will be required.

 

The ideal candidate will be a self starter capable of working independently and with moderate supervision.  Candidates should have extensive experience in partnership tax return preparation.  A CPA is a plus.

 

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.  Familiarity with tax preparation software such as GoSystem (InSource Express RS) and BNA Tax Planning will also be useful.
