Part-time Senior Accountant

This is a part time position (20 Hours) growing to fulltime. This person will be responsible for General Ledger, Internal Financial Statements, and for Payroll using ADP for 21 locations in 8 states (Key Function). This person will be involved in payroll for hourly, salaried and commissioned work force, will liaison with ADP (tech support), and will distribute checks. This person will be responsible for employment taxes and quarterly profit sharing. This role will be involved in sales tax reporting in 8 states (basic knowledge, meet deadlines); perform some HR functions--- employment law; and will train on it. In the future, this person will plan to carve out HR function. This position will serve as right hand person to Controller/CFO.

A Degree is a plus in finance/accounting. 2 to 4 years of experience in general accounting including the following is required: strong Word and Excel skills, and skilled in at least one accounting software package (example: ACCPAC or QuickBooks Pro is a plus). The client is currently use industry specific accounting software: Eclipse (extensive, wholesale, distribution system software). Candidates must have ability to learn and think on their feet! Candidates must be willing to jump in, take the ball and run with it. This person must be reliable, independent worker with the ability to take initiative. Candidates must also be able to work as a team. This person must be a dynamic and flexible individual, willing to pitch in and perform any function as deemed necessary.
