Parts Product Analyst RL Description: Mechanical aptitude and blue print reading mandatory for this position.


The incumbent is responsible for achieving the inventory turns and service targets defined by the management of PSD.

The incumbent is the resident expert for the NPI parts business and provides guidance to the Parts Product Managers.

In order to achieve the goals of PSD, the incumbent must address system related issues regarding service and availability, look at reducing non-performing inventory, improve product specific availability reporting, identify and implement actions for service improvement, and participate in establishing new NPI targets.

The incumbent works closely with Authorizations personnel from the different functional areas the staff level to director level.

The incumbent is required to address project work regarding service and availability issues.

Projects taken on by the incumbent usually involve extensive data analysis, require application of advanced mathematical models, and require the incumbent to be able to apply the results to the current situation.

Specific projects may include investigating alternatives to improve service or reduce inventory.

Duration of projects run from two to three days to several months and are worked concurrently with other projects.

The incumbent also presents the project work and results to management to solicit support for key recommendations.
